The NCS API provides a unified way to monitor and control your devices. When you purchase a Command API key, you automatically gain access to both:

Data API – to query device telemetry, such as voltage readings, logs, and status information.

Command API – to send direct control commands to devices (e.g., auto (start), stop, reboot).
This means a single API key gives you full visibility and control over your linked devices.
API Keys & Seats

API keys are issued in different tiers, each with a set number of seats (device slots) and limits.

After purchasing an API key, you must assign devices to seats under that key.

Once assigned, all data queries and control commands are scoped to the devices linked to that key.
Typical Workflow

Link Devices – Assign your devices to the seats on your API key.

Fetch Data – Use the Data API to retrieve live and historical telemetry, such as voltage trends.

Send Commands – Use the Command API to control the same devices in real time.
